NIMA IKKI is the most recent moniker of Paulina Lasa (México, 1980), a musician that started djing around 2003 and developed as a song writer/singer, composer, producer and performer. She has collaborated with numerous musicians live and at the studio, and has published 4 LPs with alternate projects and 4 EPs as NIMA IKKI (Ensamble label, Memory No. 36 Recordings, Discos Mono). Her interests and influences go from sound art to traditional folk music, and converge in productions that could be catalogued as experimental/noisy ambient and techno. She has performed at festivals, museums, galleries and clubs in Mexico and the US.
